The S3 Team had a great time conducting the NHS College Faculty & Staff Development workshop, held on August 16-17, 2024 New Town, ND. A special thanks to Dr. Kerry Hartman, Environmental Science Chair/Academic Dean, for inviting us. What a great group to work with!
The workshop was full of group discussions, small team activities, and Dr. Hartman commented, “All 3 parts of your workshop were extremely interesting and educational, not to mention fun!”

S3 founder, Dr. Michelle B. Lee had attendees captivated during her presentation titled “Radiation Everywhere”. One attendee remarked, “My husband was so jealous he couldn’t come.” Dr. Lee taught them about:
- The basic uses of radiation and radiation protection
- The environmental impact of radiation
- Where radon comes from and how it is monitored in homes
Chief Learning Officer for Longnecker & Associates and S3 Senior Fellow, Dr. Dave Rude, provided key insights and thought-provoking training on:
- Emotional Intelligence
- Results of The Personal Excellence Map for individuals and the institution as a whole.
- Unconscious Bias

Al Duncan, Managing Partner & Lead Trainer, brought his usual engaging, high-octane, and impactful delivery as he trained on:
- The Five Soft Skills Clusters and how soft skills separate the best from the rest.
- Exceptional Communication and Collaboration
- And of course… Boom! Duncan Nuggets
And guess what? We’re going to do it again next year.
